Nestled in Grand Junction, Rib City offers a delightful experience for barbecue enthusiasts. The eatery has garnered praise for its generous portions and delectable offerings. From the melt-in-your-mouth brisket to the nearly fall-off-the-bone baby back ribs, patrons rave about the smoky flavors that define their meals. The restaurant's inviting atmosphere, complete with charming decorations, seems to enhance the dining experience, further complemented by attentive staff. Highlights include the BBQ Chicken Combo and the BBQ Beef Plate, both featuring expertly smoked meats accompanied by Texas garlic toast and a selection of sides that leave customers satisfied. Notably, the potato salad has been mentioned as a standout item, possibly deserving of awards. Desserts too don’t disappoint, with guests frequently mentioning the homemade key lime pie and the snickerdoodle cheesecake. While some feedback mentions occasional inconsistency—like over-seasoning—the overall reception remains overwhelmingly positive. The restaurant's new management has also been recognized for their attentive service, frequently engaging with guests to ensure a satisfying experience. Regardless of the minor critiques, many return to Rib City for both the food and the welcoming ambiance, making it a must-try destination for barbecue lovers in Colorado.

Best BBQ in Colorado. First time eating here. Friendly staff. Front of house is clean and easy on the eyes with interesting signs and decorations. The portions are large. The brisket melted in the mouth and has plenty of smoke flavor. The ribs are perfect. Nearly fall off the bone with just a little resistance. Sides are great too. I counted 4 types of sauces and the staff offered to explain each one. I reccomend the Carolina and the Hot. The potato salad should win awards. The keylime pie and banana cheesecake both tasted homemade. Some of the best cheesecake I've had. Our waitress reguarly checked on us to refill drinks. Management asked how our meal was. The place filled up fast around 5:30pm but wait times were not long for drinks/meal/dessert. Will be back.

Nick and Romelia, are awesome, nick has seamlessly taken over new ownership in a most professional way, he's in the restaurants checking on customers frequently, making sure service is uo to par. Then Romelia, take very good care and service of her customers, she is an asset to the company. Who knew they had Buffalo wings, The wing are awesome and then there's snickerdoodle cheesecake. WOW. is it amazing

Late lunch but a nice experience with very good brisket and sides- my husband loves fried okra and was happy to find it here. Brisket could have used a little more seasoning but was tender. Clean but rustic and comfortable place. We’ll be back.

Just had the worst half rack of St. Louis short ribs in years, and I am in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I had the same at Rib City for three nights in a row during this whorl-wind trip; Two nights at the Grand Junction location and served by that cowgirl I really liked and the last night at the Fruita location. - You never know how good good ribs really are until you've had some really bad ribs.

All GJ/Fruita locations are clean, well-managed, and amazing food. Fresh meat and variety of sides, and the seasonal cheesecake is always a hit! Great service if you’re dining in, crazy fast carry out.

Our first time and, to be honest, we weren't sure about this restaurant from the outside. However, the inside was nice and the lunch specials were delicious. Husband ordered ribs that he said were very good. I got the Lunch Platter Beef Brisket that came with a special horseradish-type sauce on the side that was very good. Great food and service. Wish we had a Rib City where we live.

We got Thanksgiving dinner catered and it was excellent! The food, service and timing were 10/10! Would highly recommend for any of your parties for some delicious BBQ! Our dinner was over 20 smoked turkeys and hams and several different side dishes including 4 different type of individual mini desserts, everything came out so great!
